Venice, June 18 2022: Luca Moretto, the Veneto-born artist already known and appreciated for his ability to mould silicone, is ready to try his hand at a new project involving the web3.
The artist will release an exclusive NFT Collection consisting of three artworks: Color Drops Mini - Viola, Color Drops Mini - Antracite e Color Drops Mini - Turchese.
The three pieces, created in 2014, are made out of acrylic and silicone on expanded foam and paper. The buyer will receive both the NFT, which already is a unique item and the physical painting.
The drop will take place on OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace, on July 1 at 12:00.
The price for each artwork starts at € 1,800 (1.73 ETH at current exchange rate, excluding gas fees).
The launch of the Color Drops Mini Collection in NFT format is just the first step of a new project that will see the artist break down and reinvent his art pieces.
This project is rooted in the artist’s strength to fight back and his desire for a new beginning, which is why a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the ISAL Foundation that is committed to supporting people struggling with chronic pain and disability daily.
"I have been living with pain for over 22 years. My art stems not only from my sufferings but also from my longing for change. As a consequence, for several years now I have had the desire to start a project in which I could also involve non-profit associations to which I have ties and which could represent me as a disabled person".
Luca Moretto is an Italian artist living in Jesolo (VE). His work has been both nationally and internationally recognised. His art is a hymn to colours and the joie de vivre.
His art is the result of daring experiments and his life experiences, but above all, it is an expression of his sufferings and his desire for a new start.
